Composer, singer, akyn. One of the representatives of classical folk music. From very childhood Ibrai was fond of songs, took lessons from famous Kazakh akyns (Shozhe, Birzhan-sal, Akhan-sere, Tezekbai). Ibrai wrote about forty songs, among which the most well known are «Gakku», «Ararai», «Dunye-ai», «Shalkyma», «Kokshe». His songs are full of optimistic motifs, melodiousness and deep pensiveness. The widespread and popular song «Gakku» is the acme of Ibrai’s creative work. It was used in Brusilovsky’s opera «Er-Targyn» (the aria of Akzhunus). The themes of Ibrai’s poetry are versatile and diverse. He glorified youth, beauty, display of joy and happiness in all the spheres of human life.
